HGH, a global leader in electro-optical and infrared solutions, announces a new major contract with EDGE Group’s naval arm, Abu Dhabi Ship Building PJSC (ADSB), to equip eight Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs) under the Kuwait Navy’s AL DORRA program with its advanced SPYNEL 360° infrared surveillance systems.
HGH press release
The new contract builds on the long-standing cooperation between HGH and ADSB established through the UAE Navy’s FALAJ 3 program, for which HGH previously supplied eight SPYNEL solutions for four OPVs currently under construction.
Under the AL DORRA program, HGH’s 360° IR surveillance cameras and their CYCLOPE software will be fully integrated into Leonardo’s Combat Management System (CMS), further demonstrating the interoperability and operational value of HGH’s technologies within next-generation naval platforms.
The AL DORRA program represents an important strategic milestone for the Kuwait Navy and reinforces HGH’s growing presence in the Gulf region.
“This major order confirms the strength of our partnership with ADSB and reinforces the growing presence of our systems across the region,” said Cyril Marchebout, Sales Director at HGH. “We are very proud to continue supporting strategic naval programs in the Gulf with our SPYNEL solutions. This momentum will also allow us to further expand our activities in the United Arab Emirates through the development of a regional hub to support our customers locally.”
The contract consolidates HGH’s position as a trusted provider of advanced naval surveillance solutions for critical naval applications in the Middle East.
