Thales delivers first CAPTAS-4 sonar for the US Navy

The first CAPTAS-4 variable-depth sonar transmitter has been delivered to the U.S. Navy’s Constellation Frigate Program (FFG-62).
At the DALO Industry Days 2023 held in Copenhagen, Thales and Cubedin were showcasing their modular CAPTAS-4 variable depth sonar (VDS) solution for the first time.
Thales has confirmed that the US Navy’s FFG-62 Constellation-class frigate is to be equipped with its CAPTAS-4 low-frequency VDS.
