On September 16, 2023, the U.S. Navy held a ceremony for the commissioning of the 13th Freedom-class LCS in Menominee, MI.

USS Cleveland (LCS 31), was christened and launched Saturday, April 15, at the Fincantieri Marinette Marine shipyard in Wisconsin.

The Lockheed Martin-led shipbuilding team launched and Polly Spencer, ship sponsor and wife of the 76th Secretary of the U.S. Navy, Richard V. Spencer, christened Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) 27, the future USS Nantucket, into the Menominee River at the Fincantieri Marinette Marine Shipyard on Saturday, August 7, 2021.

PETER THE GREAT BAY - On Nov. 24 (local time) USS John S. McCain (DDG 56) asserted navigational rights and freedoms in the vicinity of Peter the Great Bay in the Sea of Japan.

US Navy's newest Freedom-variant littoral combat ship, the future USS Marinette (LCS 25) successfully launched into the Menominee River on Oct. 31.

The U.S. Navy commissioned its 10th Freedom-class Littoral Combat Ship, USS St. Louis (LCS 19), on August 8 at Mayport Naval Station, Florida. The vessel was built by Lockheed Martin and Fincantieri Marinette Marine.

Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) 23, the future USS Cooperstown, completed the next significant production milestone when ship sponsor Alba Tull christened the ship by breaking a champagne bottle across the hull in a ceremony in Marinette, Wisconsin.

Lockheed Martin and Fincantieri Marinette Marine delivered the future USS St. Louis, Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) 19, to the U.S. Navy.

Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) 19, the future USS St. Louis, completed Acceptance Trials in Lake Michigan. Now that trials are complete, the ship will undergo final outfitting and fine-tuning before delivery. LCS 19 is the tenth Freedom-class LCS designed and built by the Lockheed Martin-led industry team and is slated for delivery to the Navy early next year.
