The United Engine Corporation (UEC) told TASS the gas turbine engine for the frigate had been produced and delivered to the shipyard. The Zvezda enterprise is testing the reducing gear. Trials of the whole power plant will follow.

The Admiral Gorshkov and the Admiral Kasatonov first and second frigates of project 22350 are powered by Russian engines, however gas turbines of Ukrainian make are used as boost engines. The Ukrainian Zorya-Mashproekt stopped supplying the engines in 2014 which caused problems with the construction of frigates of project 22350 and 11356. Russian enterprises began to design domestic engines to replace Ukrainian ones.
