The Belgorod nuclear submarine that carries Poseidon unmanned underwater craft, as well as the Novosibirsk and the Knyaz Oleg nuclear submarines will complete acceptance trials by the end of the year, Sevmash Shipyard CEO Mikhail Budnichenko told TASS:

“It is the turn of the Novosibirsk, the Knyaz Oleg, and the Belgorod. The submarines have yet to sail several times to the sea for factory and acceptance trials by the end of the year. All the work is on schedule. The submarines properly perform and confirm characteristics,”

This year Sevmash laid the Dmitry Donskoy and the Knyaz Potemkin Borey-A-class nuclear submarines. “We are taking maximum effort to ensure rhythmical construction,” he said.

In summer, the Krasnoyarsk submarine of project 885M left the slipway. The Kazan lead submarine of the project joined the Navy in spring. Budnichenko said 2021 was the most intensive year for the shipyard in the past 20 years.
