ECA Group press release

Earlier this year, intrusting ECA Group’s stand-off MCM solution, which places men away from the danger, the navy received ECA Group’s USV INSPECTOR MK2, a SEASCAN for identification and a K-STER ROV for neutralization.

Convinced by ECA Group’s stand-off solution, the Royal Netherlands Navy relies on ECA Group to replace its Mine Counter Measures capacity to ensure the protection of its infrastructures and its men. Additionally, the navy opted for comprehensive training and transfer of knowledge program to ensure their operators are familiar with this innovative technology, which will allow neutralizing underwater mines without placing men within the danger zone.

As part of the OT&E program, the Royal Netherlands Navy already received AUV A18. This AUV, designed for Mine Counter Measures missions, can operate autonomously in the close vicinity of the smartest mines without triggering them.

“We thank the Royal Netherlands Navy for their continued trust in ECA Group. Our teams are mobilized alongside the Royal Netherlands Navy to provide the best innovative MCM solution and to train its crews to master our solution, placing men away for the danger.”
