The company is showcased in Eurosatory for the first time. According to the information provided by the company officials at the Tecpro booth, Tecpro is the main developer of the USV, but the hull part was built in Latvia.
The mockup on the show floor was fitted with 6 sea mines and torpedoes. According to the mockup, the torpedo launching tube is fitted on a mechanism on the deck. The model was also fitted with an electrooptical system to detect and identify targets, and a small VTOL tethered USV to increase the view angle of the drone.
Having a maximum speed of 9 knots, VIDAR FP has a range of 2000 nautical miles for autonomous operations. The company claims that the drone can keep seaworthiness up to Beaufort level 9 sea state. The stealth structure of the USV provides a low radar cross-section.
The USV can be equipped with various weapons including torpedoes, sea mines, and drones, supporting both autonomous and remote-controlled missions. According to the company’s brochure, the USV features advanced electronic countermeasures, encrypted communications, AI-enabled optical and thermal cameras, and multiple communication systems (including the latest version of Starlink) for reliable and secure operations.
