ELWAVE’s electromagnetic sensor Tetrapulse will be deployed in Ukrainian waters to detect and identify unexploded ammunition and mines. This project, led by French companies Exail and Geomines, has been awarded funding under France’s efforts to contribute to the country’s reconstruction.
ELWAVE press release
Building on the successful demonstration of ELWAVE’s Tetrapulse sensor with different NATO navies, this initiative leverages ELWAVE’s CEDAR (Controlled Electric Detection And Ranging) technology and unique capabilities.
CEDAR enables accurate detection of both metallic and non-metallic mines and ammunitions in low visibility or buried in the seabed—where traditional acoustic, magnetometer and video-based methods fall short. By providing a fully comprehensive solution, it helps ensure safer waterways, harbors and the resumption of essential economic activities in Ukraine.
“The selection of Tetrapulse for this critical mission by demining and UXO specialists underscores their confidence in our technology and its operational readiness,” said Pierre TUFFIGO, CEO at ELWAVE. “We are honored to be part of this effort and look forward to delivering tangible benefits where they are needed most.”
