A new test launch of the hypersonic Tsirkon missile will be held by the Admiral Gorshkov frigate of project 22350 in September. Salvo fire is planned, two defense industry sources told TASS at Army-2020 forum.

Russia's Sevmash Shipyard has officially handed over the first Borei-A-class submarine to the Russian Navy. The acceptance act for the 'Knyaz Vladimir', the first Project 955A SSBN was signed in Severodvinsk, the Defense Ministry said.

The Republic of China Navy (ROC Navy, Taiwan) has started a program to upgrade the decoy launchers aboard its French-built Kang Ding-class frigates. Following the upgrade, the DAGAIE MK2 launchers will be able to deploy next gen countermeasures which will better protect the vessels against modern anti-ship missiles.

The overhaul of the Tiger (K-154 Tigr) nuclear-powered attack submarine (SSN) of project 971 (Akula-class) is to be completed by the end of 2023. The SSN has not made any sorties since 2010s. Three years ago, it was towed to the shipyard in Snezhnogorsk. The overhaul will increase its might due to Kalibr missiles, the Izvestia daily writes.

The Project 885M Yasen-M class nuclear-powered attack submarine Kazan (NATO reporting name: Severodvinsk-class) has launched torpedoes against a surface and an underwater target during its trials in the White Sea, the Defense Ministry’s press office said.
