Austal USA has delivered its 11th Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) to the U.S. Navy at the company’s shipyard in Mobile, Alabama.

Austal Limited is pleased to announce that Austal’s shipyards and service centres in Australia have been approved to bid for and provide support services, including ship repairs, maintenance and sustainment activity for United States Navy (USN) and Military Sealift Command (MSC) ships.

Austal Limited is pleased to announce that Austal USA has delivered the Expeditionary Fast Transport ship USNS Puerto Rico (EPF 11) to the U.S. Navy during a ceremony aboard the ship at the shipyard in Mobile, Alabama.

An audience of over a thousand dignitaries, community leaders, and Austal USA employees celebrated the christening of the future USS Mobile (LCS 26) today at Austal’s advanced ship manufacturing facility.

Austal USA delivered its 10th Independence-variant littoral combat ship (LCS) to the U.S. Navy. The future USS Cincinnati (LCS 20) will be the 18th LCS to enter the fleet.

At the Sea Air Space 2019 exposition currently held near Washington DC, Austal USA unveiled a new range of catamaran and trimaran medium to large size Unmanned Surface Vessels (USV).

Austal USA was awarded a $261.8 million contract for the 13th and 14th Expeditionary Fast Transport ships (EPF) by the U.S. Navy last week.

Construction on the future USS Canberra (LCS 30) began on Feb. 22 in Austal USA's module manufacturing facility. Dave Growden, native Australian, LCS Program Director and a 30-year member of Austal USA's team, had the honor of pushing the button to start the router that cut the first piece of aluminum, signalling start of construction for the 15th Independence-variant littoral combat ship.
