The French Armament General Directorate (DGA) took delivery of the FREMM Frigate Normandie from Naval Group. Normandie is the sixth and final anti-submarine warfare variant FREMM for the French Navy.

Naval Group hosted the French Minister for the Armed Forces, Florence Parly, to celebrate the end of work on the sixth and final ASW variant multi-mission frigates "Normandie". The event was also a celebration for the beginning of the manufacturing of the FREMM frigates with reinforced air defense capabilities (FREMM DA) and of the Defense and Intervention Frigate (FDI), the first fully digital warships.

The frigate “Antonio Marceglia” was delivered today to the Italian Navy at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Muggiano (La Spezia). It is the eighth of a series of 10 vessels of the FREMM program – Multi Mission European Frigates – commissioned to Fincantieri as part of the international Italian-French program, coordinated by OCCAR (the Organisation for Joint Armament Cooperation).

The French Navy’s sixth FREMM Normandie started builder's trials on February 25, Naval Group announced today. Based on photos posted on the company’s Twitter account, the multirole frigate seems to have set sail from the Naval Group Lorient shipyard.

The French Navy (Marine Nationale) announced that the multi-mission frigate (FREMM) Bretagne entered "active service" and is now able to conduct operational missions. "Bretagne" is the fifth of six anti-submarine warfare FREMM frigates ordered from Naval Group by the French Navy.
