Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri announced today that it has signed an Italian Coast Guard contract for the the design and construction of a new multirole offshore patrol vessel (unità d'altura multiruolo).

The Italian Coast Guard has put its trust in Rohde & Schwarz for decades. This collaboration continues with the coast guard's new self-righting and unsinkable patrol boat, the CP420 "Natale De Grazia," which was launched in December.
