General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) will partner with Asia Air Survey (AAS) to hold a series of validation flights for the Japan Coast Guard (JCG) featuring GA-ASI’s SeaGuardian® beginning in mid-September.

The Vietnamese government signed an agreement with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on July 28 to finance a project to build six patrol vessels for the Vietnamese Coast Guard (VCG). The vessels, based on the Aso-class of the Japan Coast Guard (JCG) will be built in Japan.

Japan’s largest Super Puma operator, Japan Coast Guard (JCG), has placed a new order of two H225 helicopters. This follow-on order brings JCG’s Super Puma fleet to 15, comprising two AS332s and 13 H225s.

The Japan Coast Guard (JCG) yesterday took delivery of the Shunkō (PLH-42) patrol vessel. A large patrol boat, the Shunkō has been built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI)’s Shimonoseki Shipyard & Machinery Works in South West Japan.
