LIG D&A acheives first export of a naval air defense missile system, pioneering a new export model in cooperation with an overseas platform company.
South Korea’s DAPA announced the start of mass production for the second batch of K-SAAM missiles and Tiger Shark heavyweight torpedoes (HWT).
South Korean defence electronics company LIG Nex1 announced that the ship-based Haegung (« Sea Bow ») a surface-to-air missile was successfully test-fired from the frigate Daegu as a part of its final qualification test.
South Korea is set to deploy newly developed ship-based Haegung surface-to-air missile, the country’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) stated in late December.
