QinetiQ has won a £1.5m contract from the Royal Navy to trial the military effect of Banshee Jet80+ air vehicle off HMS Prince of Wales.
QinetiQ has won a £18.7m (US$23m) contract, Operational Assessment of Signatures Informing Susceptibility (OASIS), that will help reduce the acoustic and electromagnetic signatures of the Royal Navy’s submarines and ships and protect the men and women who serve on them from adversaries.
The UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) plans to assess the potential use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for SAR missions under a program named « Drone Demonstration and Development Project », a recent tender document reveals.
QinetiQ has confirmed it has secured a new contract to provide the Royal Navy with advanced anti-submarine warfare (ASW) training services using the latest target simulation technology from Saab. The new contract will extend QinetiQ’s long-term partnership role at the MOD’s British Underwater Test and Evaluation Centre (BUTEC) at the Kyle of Lochalsh into the training environment.
