Thales has signed a contract with the French defence procurement agency (DGA) to supply the French Navy with several hundred SonoFlash sonobuoys.
Thales is on course to begin low-rate initial production (LRIP) deliveries of its SonoFlash combined active/passive sonobuoy to France’s Direction générale de l’armement (DGA) early next year, company officials have told Naval News.
Thales announced recently that launch and deployment tests of its new SonoFlash sonobuoy from the ATL2 maritime patrol aircraft were carried out successfully.
