The U.S. Navy has awarded Ultra Maritime a $49 million contract for the procurement of Q62 Next Generation sonobuoys.

Ultra Maritime and UMS SKELDAR are pleased to announce that they have been awarded a 2nd Phase contract under the Canadian Department of National Defence’s Innovation for Defence Excellence and Security program, which will explore the development of a Rotary Wing UAS to provide an ASW sonobuoy dispensing capability, based on the SKELDAR V-200 UAS.

The U.S. Navy awarded Ultra Group for a Multiple Award Delivery Order Contract (MADOC) to provide next-generation sonobuoy systems for the next five years.

Ultra has secured an initial three ship set production order from Lockheed Martin Canada for the supply of Hull Mounted Sonars for the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) ship.

Ultra announced 22 November 2021 the successful update of the Platform Data Management (PDM) for the Type 23 Royal Navy Frigates. The updated PDM system provides navigation and mission-critical data from sensors to numerous systems around the ship.

June 2021 marked a significant milestone for both Ultra and the UK Royal Navy with sonar 2150 successfully completing its first-of-class sea acceptance trial onboard HMS Portland.
