Xavier Vavasseur – Editor-in-Chief, co-founder and president
Xavier is based in Paris, France. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration from Florida Institute of Technology (FIT). Xavier has been covering naval defense topics for nearly a decade, spending occasional time at sea aboard frigates, destroyers, amphibious vessels and an aircraft carrier. Nathan Gain – Deputy editor, co-founder and managing director
Nathan is based in Namur, Belgium. He holds an MA in modern history with a minor in international relations from the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL โ Belgium). Fascinated by military history he naturally turned to the defence sector after graduating and is particularly interested in Northern European and Belgian defence issues as well as in anything related to naval aviation. Naval Analyst
Dr Lee Willett is an independent analyst on defence and security matters, specialising in naval and maritime issues. Based in London, Dr Willett has 25 yearsโ experience working across the academic, independent analytical, and media sectors: he spent 13 years at the RUSI think-tank, including running the maritime studies programme; and he spent four years at Janes, as editor of Janes Navy International.
Naval Analyst & OSINT expert
H I Sutton writes about the secretive and under-reported submarines, seeking out unusual and interesting vessels and technologies involved in fighting beneath the waves. Submarines, capabilities, naval special forces underwater vehicles and the changing world of underwater warfare and seabed warfare. To do this he combines the latest Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) with the traditional art and science of defense analysis.
Naval Reporter & Naval Analyst
Tayfun Ozberk is a former naval officer who is expert in Above Water Warfare especially in Littoral Waters. He has a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science. After serving the Turkish Navy for 16 years, he started writing articles for several media. Tayfun also provides analysis services on global naval strategies. He’s based in Mersin, Turkey.
