Argonyx INS for surface applications

Safran Electronics & Defense offers a new range of inertial navigation systems for surface vessels with Argonyx™ family. Based on HRG Crystal™ disruptive technology, Argonyx is the most lightweight, performant and reliable INS on its market. All Argonyx™ versions are tailored to specific ship configurations, from the small patrol boat with Argonyx SP, that offers an autonomous navigation performance of 1Nm/4h,  to the destroyers with Argonyx XP, that offers an autonomous navigation performance of 1Nm/72h (TDRMS). Argonyx family has been developed in order to meet our customers growing requirements: it offers a high accuracy for weapon employment& sensor stabilization and an operational efficiency in GNSS denied missions.

Black-Onyx INS for submarines applications

New submarines platforms, in particular ocean-going submarines, potentially fitted with AIP or nuclear propulsion, have increasing requirements in terms of autonomy. With its new Black-Onyx family, Safran meets these customers’ requirements by improving the autonomous navigation performance of its inertial navigation systems. Indeed, Black-Onyx family offers the highest autonomous navigation performance ever reached in the non-strategic submarines market. With Black-Onyx Dual Core family, those performances are multiplied, reaching 1Nm/120h for the most demanding applications. Finally, thanks to HRG Crystal, Black-Onyx families has the highest MTBF of the market, is maintenance-free and is a totally silent system, as discretion is key to submarine missions.
