Video: MBDA’s New Naval Counter-Drone Solution

At Euronaval 2022, MBDA unveiled a naval counter-drone solution. As unmanned threats proliferates, the European leader in missile systems used its know-how in air defense and effects management to propose this solution based on Skywarden.

Xavier Vavasseur 25 Oct 2022

As for the Skywarden, MBDA’s counter-drone solution for maritime environment relies on a range of sensors and effectors like the Mistral 3 air defense missile and Akeron surface-to-surface missile. It can effectively neutralise any form of threat, from UAVs to small unmanned surface vessels. Being modular, scalable, and evolvable, the system can be tailored to specific customer requirements to effectively and appropriately match specific complex operational scenarios.

“Comprehensive, modular, flexible and evolvable, Naval Counter-UAS uses a networked eco-system of constantly evolving sensors and effectors, adaptable to different naval platforms and combat systems, drawn from MBDA’s experience in naval defence and ground based Counter-UAS (Sky Warden).“
