The biennial event which will be held from the 26th to 30th March this year at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC) and the Resorts World Langkawi (RWL) will feature defence & commercial, maritime and aerospace, shipbuilding & ship repair, civil aviation, manufacturers, MRO, airport equipment & services, training & simulation, helicopters, safety & security equipment as well as unmanned systems (UAV’s) to name a few.
The co-organiser of the exhibition, EN Project (M) Sdn Bhd is optimistic that this year’s show will be bigger and better than the previous editions. Declaring that, 109 percent of the total exhibition floor space has been taken up. LIMA serves the region as an important platform to converge all defence and commercial, aerospace and maritime industries. The unprecedented response from top industry players to be in LIMA`19 has been overwhelming and the organisers are finding it a huge challenge to accommodate these companies given the restricted space available.

LIMA`19 will showcase an increased focus of 40% in the commercial segment focusing on the participation from shipbuilding & ship repair and civil aviation industry players. To-date, more than 350 companies from 30 countries have confirmed their participation with more than 10,000 square meters of the exhibition floor space sold to local and international companies. Turkey is by large the largest international country pavilion followed by Russia, UK, China, France and Germany – a total of 12 Country Pavilions. While Boustead Heavy Industry Corporation (BHIC) is the biggest Malaysian exhibitor with followed by the National Aerospace and Defence Industri (NADI), Muhibah Engineering Berhad and Sapura Group. The Ministry of Transport will be spearheading the commercial segment by gathering the relevant agencies under one pavilion with a total space of 462 sqm. This shows the commitment of the Ministry to fully support and encourage local entities to offer their expertise, technology and services
for the aviation and shipbuilding & ship repair market.
The collaboration of the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Transport for LIMA`19 is in line with the theme “Defence and Commercial Connecting Intelligence”. More than 400 Official Delegates from 46 countries are expected to be present and more than 40,000 trade visitors are also expected to attend this 5-day event.
