The concept model of the XLUUV (Extra Large Unmanned Underwater Vehicle) was unveiled for the first time. According to the disclosed concept, the unmanned submarine can conduct anti-submarine warfare as well as surveillance reconnaissance and information collection in enemy waters. It can be operated for a long time for more than 30 days by installing fuel cells. According to the concept, the length of the ship is more than 16 meters, and can sail underwater for a maximum depth of more than 300 meters. Through communication between sea, underwater, and air, comprehensive unmanned power can dramatically improve the viability of combatants by expanding the scope of operation.

The Haegum Series, which began development in 2015, is a marine unmanned platform for future warfare and is an underwater surveillance and reconnaissance platform that can perform various operations depending on the mission equipment equipped. In Madex 2023, LIG Nex1 exhibited Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USV), Haegum-II, III, and V.

Haegum -II is a model with underwater surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities. It is equipped with a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) that can be automatically deployed and recovered on the stern. Haegum-III is a coastal boundary and rapid response unmanned patrol boat with enhanced surveillance and reconnaissance functions and armed combat functions. It will be equipped with a 12.7mm machine gun, a 2.75-inch guided rocket launcher, and will provide various attack options such as a self-destructive drone. It can operate 24 hours a day in poor marine environments such as bad weather. Haegum-V is an unmanned watercraft loaded on a ship. In the event of a suspicious target, it would be separated from the mother ship to identify the target and immediately respond with equipped armament.

In addition, LIG Nex1 also exhibited various marine-guided weapons such as K-SAAM, SSM-700K, and K-745. In particular, the K-SAAM has a vertical launch system that can be launched in a 360-degree direction from the vessel, so it has the ability to defend against various threats in all directions.
