The tender includes the following two lots:

  • Two coastal patrol vessels, over 30 m. of length, with a budget of EUR 30 mil. (excluding VAT) and delivery schedule of 24 months upon signing the agreement; and
  • Four fast patrol vessels, with a length between 16 and 19.5 m., with a budget of EUR 40.4 mil. with an expected delivery 18 months after the signing of the agreement.

The deadline for the submission of proposals is the 10th of June 2020.

The Hellenic Coast Guard has assumed a considerable burden in patrol and rescue missions in the Eastern Aegean Sea, as a result of the increased flow of immigrants coming from the Turkish coasts. According to Greek Media sources, the Coast Guard has deployed most of its vessels (around 60 of them) to the area, during the last years, in an effort to address the issue.
