Navantia press release

This agreement, which will run until January 2028, will amount to a maximum of 822.4 million euros and is expected to create more than 1,000 direct jobs per year.

Navantia has thus strengthened its position as main maintainer of the US Navy in Rota, a role it has been fulfilling since 2013. The contract is extensive in terms of manpower, with a high level of technical requirements and strict deadlines.

It will also result in improvements in processes and therefore a better overall positioning of the company in the defense market.

Navantia has facilities and personnel deployed at the Rota Naval Base, where all activities associated with the new commission will be centralized. These facilities, in addition to supporting US Navy vessels, provide support activities to the Armada Española.
