In a ceremony held on November 25, the Brazilian Navy signed an agreement to start building the hull of its first nuclear-powered submarine (SSN), the “รlvaro Alberto”, as part of the SN-BR project.

The รguas Azuis Consortium, formed by thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (TKMS), Embraer Defense & Security and Atech, was selected by the Brazilian Navy for the construction of four surface combatants as part of the Tamandarรฉ Corvettes Class Program as preferred bidder. The result was announced on March 28.

The Brazilian Navy has ordered three H135 light twinengine helicopters to be operated by the 1st General Purpose Helicopter Squadron (HU-1), Airbus Helicopters said on Feb. 21, 2019.
