A French Navy nuclear-powered attack submarine (SSN) fired a live F21 heavyweight torpedo at a surface ship in what was a first of its kind test.
Naval Group was showcasing its state-of-the-art military ship offer, the FDI frigate, at DEFEA 2021 – defense exhibition Athens.
Naval Group delivered the first batches of F21 new generation heavyweight torpedoes to the French Navy (Marine Nationale) as well as to the Brazilian Navy (Marinha do Brasil).
