HMS Prince of Wales assumes flagship role of NATO Maritime High Readiness Force

In a ceremony on January 7, Commodore Ad van de Sande of the Royal Netherlands Navy assumed command of the Standing NATO Maritime Group One (SNMG1) from Commodore Bradley Peats of the Royal Canadian Navy.
This year’s edition was conducted in the southern Baltic Sea, along the Swedish coast and around the islands of Öland and Gotland from 10 to 23 September.
