Australia Delivers Austal-built Guardian-class Patrol Boat to Fiji

Austal Limited (Austal) is pleased to announce the on-time delivery of the sixth Guardian-class Patrol Boat (GCPB) to the Australian Department of Defence. The vessel, the RFNS Savenaca, was today gifted by the Government of Australia to the Government of Fiji during a handover ceremony at Austal Australia’s Henderson shipyard.

UK MoD invests £2.5m in XLUUV development programme

The first extra-large autonomous test submarine will be developed for the Royal Navy following a new contract by the Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA). An initial £1 million contract has been awarded to Plymouth-based MSubs Ltd to build a test submarine that will be used to explore the potential capabilities of larger uncrewed underwater vehicles in the future.

TKMS Embraer & Atech Sign Construction Contract for Brazil’s Tamandaré-class

On March 5th, in Rio de Janeiro, Emgepron, an independent state company, linked to the Ministry of Defense through the Brazilian Navy Command, and Águas Azuis, a company created by thyssenkrupp Marine Systems, Embraer Defense & Security and Atech, signed the contract for building four state-of-the-art Tamandaré Class Ships, with deliveries scheduled between 2025 and 2028.
