South Korea commissioned its first Dosan Ahn Changho-class (KSS III program) submarine today. ROKS Dosan Ahn Chang-ho (SS-083) was built by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) for the Republic of Korea (ROK) Navy.
DSME is pitching its DSME 3000, to India for the country’s Project 75I-class (P75I) programme.
Turkey’s first Reis-class (Type 214TN) Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) capable submarine “Piri Reis” was floated out on 23 March at Golcuk Shipyard.
New construction halls and dry dock in Karachi are taking shape. Although official details are scarce, we understand that the new site will be for the local construction of Type-039B AIP submarines for the Pakistan Navy.
