Thales and Exail have been selected by the French defence procurement agency (DGA) to deliver eight, plus eight more in option, Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV).
The French defense procurement agency (DGA) is to provide the French Navy with its first sovereign ultradeep-sea exploration and surveillance capability and has chosen Exail, a world leader in robotics, to supply a new AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) capable of operating at depths of up to 6,000 meters.
The factory announcement comes amid growing demand for Anduril’s AUVs, including an $18.6 million contract with the U.S. Navy.
