ECA Group has been awarded a significant export contract to modernize robots dedicated to naval mine warfare.
After being one of the first navies to be equipped with ECA GROUP’s K-STER MIDS ROV back in 2009, the Lithuanian Navy, renewed its trust in the capabilities of this solution to neutralise sea mines.
Late 2019, ECA GROUP carried out the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the 4th Ship set of the Electric Propulsion Motor (MEP) for the 4th Barracuda Submarine, alongside Naval Group and the French General Direction of Armement (DGA).
In 2019, ECA GROUP successfully performed the Sea Performance Trials Test of its Steering Console for the South Korean programme KSS-III (Jangbogo III) – Batch 1 first submarine.
ECA Group, an expert in robotics, automated systems, simulation and industrial processes, will build its new plant in the port of Ostend in order to carry out the contract to supply their unmanned systems for the 12 minesweepers of the Belgian and Dutch navies.
