Austal USA laid the keel of the future USNS Cody (EPF 14) with a ceremony held in the facilities in Mobile, Alabama on 27 January.

Austal USA has been awarded a US$44 million fixed-price, undefinitised contract modification for the design, procurement, production implementation and demonstration of autonomous capability on Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPF) 13, USNS Apalachicola.

The first cut of metal for the future USNS Apalachicola (T-EPF 13) took place on August 19, 2019 at the Austal USA shipyard in Mobile, Alabama.

USNS Puerto Rico (EPF 11), successfully completed the first integrated sea trials for an Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPF) ship Aug. 22. The ship returned to the Austal USA shipyard following two days underway in the Gulf of Mexico.
