Sweden is seeking to increase its naval power as it looks to add value to NATO as a full alliance member, according to an FMV official.

Sweden and Australia have reached an agreement on the use of Swedish submarine technology for the Collins-class upgrade.

The Swedish group Saab received an order from the Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV) regarding modification of two existing naval underwater signature ranges. The order, valued at US$ 12 million, is a follow-up order to a contract signed in 2020 and the project will continue until 2026.

The Göteborg-class corvette HSwMS Gävle was handed over to the Swedish Navy’s 4th Flotilla on May 4 after a Mid-Life Upgrade.

Saab has received an order from the Swedish Defence Material Organisation (FMV) for the next phase of the life extension programme of Torpedo 62. The order value is SEK 145 million and deliveries will take place by the end of 2023.

Swedish Armed Forces Materiel Administration (FMV) delivered another upgraded Tapper-class patrol boat to the 1st Marine Regiment, the main combat unit of the Swedish Amphibious Corps. HMS Ärlig joined the four patrol boats already handed over to the 17th Amphibious Patrol Boat Company based in Göteborg.
