Thales announced its highly-effective Lightweight Multirole Missile will be on display at this month’s Defence & Security Exhibition (DSEI) in London after a remarkable year in which the system has achieved a number of notable ‘firing firsts’.

Thales recently conducted firing trials at Royal Artillery Air Defence Range at Manorbier as part of the Integration testing phase of the Future Anti Surface Guided Weapon (Light), (FASGW(L) programme.

The Royal Navy Type 23 Frigate HMS Sutherland test fired four Martlet missiles against a fast moving surface target off the Welsh coast. Fitted on an MSI Defence 30mm RWS, the missile (also know as Thales LMM) is design to protect surface combatants against asymmetric threats.
