The Admiralty Wharves Shipyard (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC)) has started the state trials of the third Project 636.3 diesel-electric submarine (NATO reporting name: Improved Kilo) B-602 "Magadan" built for the Russian Navy Pacific Fleet.

Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, U.S. Pacific Fleet, and U.S. Naval Forces Europe commenced Large-Scale Exercise 2021 in the USFF, PACFLT, and NAVEUR areas of responsibility, on August 4.

Russian shipbuilder Admiralty Shipyards (a subsidiary of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) has launched the third Project 636.3 (NATO reporting name: Improved Kilo-class) diesel-electric submarine for the Pacific Fleet on March 26.

The Ohio-class guided-missile submarine USS Ohio (SSGN 726) made a brief stop near Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 2, as part of her deployment to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations, giving the crew a rare opportunity to integrate with a III Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) force reconnaissance element in the area.
