The S-81 “Isaac Peral”, first submarine of the S-80 series built by Navantia for the Spanish Navy has successfully passed the safety milestone of the start-up of its diesel engines, which is part of the process of its port trials.

Spain’s F-110 frigate program has successfully passed the Preliminary Design Review (PDR) carried out by local shipbuilder Navantia, the Spanish Ministry of Defense and the Spanish Navy.
The “Isaac Peral” hit the water for the first time on Friday, at Navantia’s shipyard in Cartagena. Pierside (harbor) trials is the next step, with various safety milestones, such as the loading of diesel oil, the charging of the batteries or the pierside propulsion test.
