Rohde & Schwarz has signed a contract with Spanish shipbuilder Navantia to equip five new F-110 frigates with external communications systems.
The Spanish Ministry of Defense (MoD) started a procurement process for a second-hand logistics transport vessel. The new vessel would replace two recently decommissioned Ro-Ro (roll on roll off) vessels that were tasked with the transfer of materiel for the Spanish Army (Ejército de Tierra).
GMV has signed a contract with the Spanish corporation Navantia for development and supply of the SENDA navigation system for the future F-110 frigates. This contract bears out the trust already placed in GMV by the Spanish MoD on the strength of the fine work carried out in the development of a system prototype within the F-110 definition phase.
Abengoa has inked a contract with Navantia to supply its AIP system to the future S80 Plus submarines of the Spanish Navy. Abengoa’s solution was selected in Feb. 2020 by the General Directorate of Armament and Material of the Spanish MoD. The Spanish company stated that its AIP system will allow the S80 Plus to operate for up to 3 weeks without surfacing.
