Hanwha Group officially acquired Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) on December 16th in a deal worth 2 trillion Korean won (over $ 1.5 billion).

Hanwha Group signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Maritime Engineering (DSME) on September 26, acquiring 49.3 percent of the South Korean Shipbuilder’s shares.
