The Turkish Navy’s future landing helicopter dock (LHD), TCG Anadolu (L-400), was spotted at sea on June 20, 2022. Company officials confirmed that the aircraft carrier has begun official sea trials.
The Chief Technology Officer of Turkish drone manufacturer Baykar Technologies gave details on the takeoff and landing operations of BAYRAKTAR KIZILELMA (or MIUS), an unmanned fighter aircraft presently in development, aboard Turkey’s planned landing helicopter dock (LHD) Anadolu.

On July 20, Turkey’s Baykar Defense company introduced the MIUS Project, an autonomous combat aircraft, by releasing concept design images via Twitter. The most notable feature of the images is that the MIUS takes off from Turkeyโs future Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) โAnadolu.โ This was unexpected because MIUS had never previously been declared to be deployed aboard a naval asset.

After Turkey was taken out of the F-35 aircraft program because of CAATSA sanctions imposed by the United States, it has been trying to develop new solutions to deploy fixed-winged air assets on Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) Anadolu.
