The U.S. Navy commissioned its 10th Freedom-class Littoral Combat Ship, USS St. Louis (LCS 19), on August 8 at Mayport Naval Station, Florida. The vessel was built by Lockheed Martin and Fincantieri Marinette Marine.

The Amur Shipyard in Komsomolsk-on-Amur in Russia’s Far East held a keel laying ceremony for the Project 22800 Karakurt-class corvette ‘Pavlovsk’ on 29 July. This is the 16th corvette of the Karakurt-class and it is intended for the Russian Pacific Fleet, the Defense Ministry’s press office said.
