Damen Marine Components (DMC) has been awarded a contract by the Chantiers de l’Atlantique for the supply of rudders and steering gear systems for the French Navy’s future Jacques Chevallier-class Logistic Support Ships (BRF).

iXblue was selected by Naval Group to provide navigation systems to the four future tankers for the French Navy. Phins navigation systems and Netans navigation data distribution & computation systems will thus equip the future logistics support vessels, as part of the “Logistics Fleet” program (Flotte Logistique (FLOTLOG)) led by the European Organization for Joint Armament Cooperation (Organisation Conjointe de Coopération en matière d’ARmement (OCCAR)) on behalf of the French Defense Procurement Agency DGA, and its Italian counterpart, NAVARM.

Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri is building for French shipyard Chantiers de l’Atlantique , the forward sections of the four “BRF” logistic support ships under the Franco-Italian LSS program led by OCCAR.

The construction of the first of four new replenishment tankers / supply vessels for the French navy (Marine Nationale) started today at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in cooperation with Naval Group. The future vessels will be known as the Jacques Chevallier-class.

Safran Electronics & Defense was recently selected to supply the PASEO XLR extra long-range naval optronic identification & fire control system for the French Navy (Marine Nationale)’s future replenishment vessels known as BRF.
