The Admiralty Shipyard completed the builder trials of the "Volkhov" diesel-electric submarine (SSK) of project 636.3 (Improved Kilo-class) built for the Russian Navy Pacific fleet, the enterprise said.

The Admiralty Shipyard of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) floated the Volkhov diesel-electric submarine of project 636.3, the USC said.

The Admiralty Shipyard handed over the first Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky submarine of project 636.3 to the Pacific fleet. The submarine hoisted St. Andrew’ flag.

The Admiralty Shipyard laid two diesel-electric submarines of project 636.3 for the Pacific fleet.

The first Project 636.3 (NATO designation: Improved Kilo-class) diesel electric submarine (SSK) for the Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet was launched on March 28, 2019 in St. Petersburg at JSC "Admiralty Shipyards" (a member of united shipbuilding corporation OCK).
