Previously known as FLOTLOG (for Flotte Logistique), the BRF (bâtiments ravitailleurs de force or force replenishment vessel) contract is valued at 1.7 Billion Euros. The design of the French BRF is based on the Italian LSS (Vulcano-class)
The U.S. Navy has awarded a contract for the construction of CVN 80 and CVN 81 to Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Newport News Shipbuilding.
Boeing was awarded $15,9 million for modification P00001 to delivery order previously placed against basic ordering agreement N00019-16-G-0001. This modification exercises an option for the procurement of 79 Harpoon Block II Plus Tactical Missile upgrade kits for the U.S. Navy.

The U.S. Navy held a keel laying and authentication ceremony for its twelfth Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPF) vessel, Newport (EPF 12), at Austal USA’s shipyard., Jan. 29. The keel was said to be “truly and fairly laid” as it was authenticated by Charlotte Dorrance Marshall, signing her initials into the keel plate.
